I still find it a little hard to believe that we've been in our house 6 years already. I don't know what it was but despite the wallpaper, pink and avocado green bathrooms and the dated kitchen I fell in love. I think it was the massive fenced in back yard. Our yard is just a great place for our kids to run and have fun. I always envisioned a wooden play structure and we finally have one!
The day after G picked it up it rained for 5 days straight. So after a day of sunshine to dry out the ground, Gordon got to work getting the playground put together.
It was hot! 40 something with the humidex, I'm happy the swing set will be in the shade. The kids needed to cool off so we set up some water cool down fun.

Snack time and the watermelon was heating up. We packed it in ice to keep it cool and the kids played with the ice cubes for some additional chill out fun.

Thanks Daddy!!! Looking forward to some more nice weather so that we can get this project finished and the kids can start to enjoy it.
